Job description

We are hiring a QA Analyst for our software testing team. We are seeking an entry level QA Analyst to help do manual testing of our exciting next generation SaaS platform. This role will help us ship high quality software and delight our customers! This is a 100% remote role so you can be located anywhere in the United States.  However, the following states will be given priority: California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, Texas, or Washington

Salary: 50-52K annually

Job requirements

You are good with computers. You need to be familiar with and know how to use a Mac. You should be adept at using Browsers & Browser Dev Tools.

You are highly attentive to detail and have a tolerance for repetition. We test newly developed features and you’ll need to be able to spot small inconsistencies as well as UI differences. We also do a lot of regression testing and you’ll need to remain attentive while testing things you’ve tested before.

You are self-motivated & and have great problem solving skills. At Flex, we’ll give you general direction and then set you loose. We assume that you’ll be biased towards action and always have your eye on keeping your tasks moving forward.

You have the ability to shift gears quickly. We don’t always know what our day is going to look like. A new, critical issue can arise at any time requiring you to drop what you’re doing and jump into a new task.

You are on the lookout for actionable ways to improve or streamline process. Flex values different viewpoints on the way things can be done. When change to the day-to-day is valuable, we discuss and implement new tools and process.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify that all product pieces and components are functioning and meet quality standards

  • Identify, isolate and track bugs throughout testing

  • Effectively document testing phases, identifying and recording defects, bugs, errors, and other associated issues

  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases

  • Work with product managers and developers to identify and improve system requirements, supporting the team in implementing those changes as needed

  • Discuss details of the inner workings of code changes with developers to better cover testing a given feature

  • Identify and report issues found, then verify that issues are resolved


Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous software testing experience

  • Knowledge of the Live AV Industry

  • 4 year degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
